A handyman is concerned with all minor repair works in the hotel as well as public areas.
What will I be doing?
As a handyman, you will support the Engineering Team to ensure that engineering and maintenance repairs are completed to standard. Specifically, an Handyman will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- To receive work order request and read Handyman logbook for possible endorsement, outstanding and priorities and other assignments from the Engineering.
- Proceed to handyman station, where all tools and other materials are stored.
- Refurbish work orders according to standard and priorities.
- Shall be responsible for providing preventive maintenance of all types of machines and other cleaning materials.
- Tasked to control and be accountable for all items, stored inside his station.
- Responsible for issuing and receiving all items borrowed by employees through a borrower's slip procedure.
- Handle job orders promptly for the installations, repairs and maintenance of all operating Must be able to handle minor electrical, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, carpet works, re-painting and re-varnishing works, ACU works, replacement of fused bulbs, etc.
- Ensures availability of all types of bulbs required for handyman use.
- Shall act as Runner for errands if needed (especially guest request).
- To submit daily shift accomplishment and consumption report to the Section Engineer.
- Performs any other related tasks assigned by the Section Engineer from time to time.
What are we looking for?

- Current working knowledge of general maintenance and engineering work
- Experience in the Maintenance Department of a large hotel, hospital, ship, and/or restaurant complex or similar
- Strong work ethic
- A passion for delivering great customer service
- Ability to work without close supervision and within established timeframes
